Undertaken whilst at Aukett Swanke:
This conversion of an 1830s Manor House, formerly a University of Sheffield Hall of Residence into a 37 bed boutique hotel was opened to the public in July 2013.
The redevelopment of Scarborough waterfront comprised a variety of works, including the restoration of Grade II* listed Grand Hall, and Sun Court within the Spa Building itself. The project embodied the core disciplines of sustainability, urban design, public realm design, landscape and conservation.
This high-quality out of town speculative office building in Uxbridge was the forth plot to be developed on this developer led project. The 60,000ft² building achieved planning permission pre-recession and is now about to go to site. A key achievement here was the retention of quality and programme based upon pre-recession commitments, balanced against more onerous environmental targets, for the same budget.
